DIVERSIFICATION OF WORK AND FOOD SECURITY FISHERMEN LABOR HOUSEHOLD (Case Study in Labuhan Lombok Village, East Lombok Regency)

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Tujuan penelitian adalah :1) mengetahui diversifikasi pekerjaan  rumah tangga nelayan buruh, (2) mengetahui total  pendapatan dan pengeluaran rumah tangga nelayan buruh, (3) mengetahui tingkat ketahanan pangan rumah tangga nelayan buruh, dan (4) menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap ketahanan pangan rumah tangga nelayan buruh. Jumlah responden ditentukaan secara quota sampling sebanyak 38 (26%) rumah tangga dari 144 rumahtangga nelayan buruh. Pemilihan responden dilakukan secara simple random sampling.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : (1) sebanyak  3%  rumah tangga nelayan buruh yang  melakukan diversifikasi pekerjaan, (2) pendapatan rumahtangga nelayan buruh yaitu Rp 3.402.193 per bulan yaitu pendapatan bapak nelayan Rp 3.270.614, isteri nelayan Rp 78.947, dan anak nelayan Rp 52.632. Kemudian  pengeluaran rumahtangga nelayan buruh per bulan Rp 2.460.009 yang terdiri dari pengeluaran pangan Rp 2.150.160 (87,4%) dan Rp 310.849 (12,6%) pengeluaran non pangan, (3) sebanyak 68,42% rumah tangga nelayan buruh  tahan pangan dan 31,58% rawan pangan, dan (4) faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap ketahanan pangan rumah tangga nelayan buruh adalah jumlah anggota rumah tangga dan pengeluaran rumah tangga.

ABSTRACT

                  The objectives of the research are: 1) to know the work diversification  of the fisherman's labor household , (2) to know the total income and expenditure of the fisherman's labor household, (3) to know the level of household food security of the fisherman, and (4) which affects the household food security of fisherman workers. The number of respondents was determined by quota sampling of 38 (26%) of households from 144 fisherman's households. The selection of respondents was done by simple random sampling.

                The result of the research shows: (1) 3% of fisherman's households are doing diversification of work, (2) household fisherman's income is Rp 3,402,193 per month that is fisherman's income Rp 3,270,614, wife of fisherman Rp 78,947, and fisherman Rp 52,632. Then the expenditure of fisherman household labor per month is Rp 2,460,009 consisting of food expenditure Rp 2,150,160 (87,4%) and non food expenditure Rp 310,849 (12.6%), (3) 68.42% households of food-proof fisherman and 31.58% food insecurity, and (4) factors that have significant effect on household food security of fisherman  labor are number of household member and household expenditure.
