PUBLICATION ETHICS

Agrimansion: Agribusiness Management and Extension is a scientific journal that contains articles in the form of research results related to thoughts/ideas or conceptual/theoretical studies that examine broad aspects of agribusiness and agricultural socio-economics such as production management and marketing of agricultural products, agricultural extension and communication, agricultural development policy, ecotourism, regional planning, gender analysis, community nutrition and rural sociology. This scientific code of ethics statement is a statement of the code of ethics of all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely managers, editors, reviewers, and authors/writers. The Agrimansion scientific publication code of ethics statement was prepared based on the Regulation of the Head of LIPI Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications, which in essence, this Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications essentially upholds three ethical values ​​in publications, namely:

Neutrality, free from conflict of interest in managing publications;

Justice, giving authorship rights to those entitled to be authors/writers; and

Honesty, free from duplication, fabrication, falsification and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications.

 Editor in Chief Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Determine the name of the journal, scientific scope, number of journals published in each edition, and journal accreditation.
  • Determine and renew editor membership.
  • Defines the relationship between publishers, editors, reviewers, and other parties.
  • Responsible for maintaining confidential matters, both for contributing researchers, authors, editors and reviewers.
  • Implement norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
  • Review journal policies and convey them to authors, editors, reviewers and readers.
  • Create behavioral code guidelines for editors and reviewers.
  • Publish journals regularly.
  • Ensure the availability of logistics and funding sources for the sustainability of journal publication.
  • Building cooperation and marketing networks with other parties.
  • Regularly improve the quality of the journal.
  • Prepare permits and other legal aspects.

Editor Duties and Responsibilities

  • The editor is responsible for deciding which articles will be published in the Agrimansion Journal through editorial board meetings. Editors are guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and are limited by applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism.
  • Editors can provide comments on the author's writing so that readers can understand what the author wants to convey, through comments written on the manuscript.
  • The editor provides comments and input on the writing sent by the author in accordance with EYD (Enhanced Spelling) grammar rules or language that is in accordance with the journal's standards.
  • The editor upholds the principles of equality of treatment and freedom of opinion objectively.
  • Editors may not differentiate between race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political ideology of authors, when reviewing journals and making publication decisions (articles).
  • The editor ensures that the author's writing does not involve SARA or anything that could harm the publisher.
  • Editors are not permitted to provide any information about submitted manuscripts or articles except with permission from the author.
  • The editor assists the editor-in-chief/chief editor in finalizing a collection of manuscripts before they are printed and published, especially in terms of language, format and layout.

Reviewer Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions on submitted and published manuscripts/articles.
  • Reviewers provide written feedback objectively, and supported by clear arguments.
  • Reviewers are not permitted to provide criticism or comments of a personal nature.
  • Reviewers maintain the confidentiality of manuscript information, by not providing and discussing it to unrelated parties, or disclosing information contained in the manuscript to other parties.
  • Reviewers are responsible for citations, references and plagiarism for the articles reviewed.

 Author Duties and Responsibilities

  • Authors must write manuscripts or articles ethically, honestly and responsibly, in accordance with applicable scientific writing regulations.
  • Authors must comply with the publication requirements of scientific journals which include the originality of the work, not plagiarizing, and that the submitted journal has never been published in another journal or publication.
  • Authors are collectively responsible for the work and journal content submitted.
  • Authors must respond to the results of reviews from reviewers and the editorial board/editors in a professional, scientific and timely manner.
  • The author does not mind if the text sent undergoes editing without changing the substance or main idea of ​​the article.
  • Submit a manuscript that has been written according to the author's guidelines/agrimansion journal template.

Duties and Responsibilities of Website Administrator/IT Staff

  • Prepare and design the Agrimansion journal website
  • Assist and facilitate registration for editors, reviewers and authors.
  • Manage Agrimansion journal features
  • Create journal statistics
  • Helping the Editor upload/publish journals with accepted status;
  • Printing and marketing scientific journals.
