6. KERAGAAN SUMBER PENDAPATAN WANITA NELAYAN DAN PELUANG PENGEMBANGANNYA (KASUS DI TIGA DESA MISKIN KABUPATEN LOMBOK BARAT)

Performance of Fisherwomen Income Source and Probability of Its Development (Case in Three Poor Villages in West Lombok Regency)

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Penelitian bertujuan : 1) mengetahui  keragaan kegiatan  produktif wanita nelayan, 2) mengetahui kontribusi pendapatan wanita nelayan terhadap pendapatan rumahtangga, dan 3) mengkaji peluang kegiatan produktif  dan kemungkinan pengembangannya.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : 1) kegiatan produktif wanita nelayan di daerah penelitian terdiri  dari dua sektor, yaitu sektor kelautan dan   perikanan (usaha ikan segar /penendak ikan, ikan pindang, sate ikan, pengumpul karang, dan usaha perbaikan  jaring) dan di luar sektor kelautan dan perikanan  (buruh tani, dagang beras, dan usaha warung), 2) pendapatan wanita nelayan Rp 1.484.687,5 /tahun atau 23,33 % dari pendapatan rumahtangga nelayan, dan 3)  secara ekonomi dan ekologi (lingkungan)  kegiatan/usaha wanita nelayan yang  layak untuk dikembangkan adalah usaha sate ikan, ikan segar,  ikan pindang, membuat jaring, dagang beras dan usaha warung .

ABSTRACT

The aims of this research were: a) to know the  income of women from various of productive activities, b) to know the fisherwomen contribution to household income, and c) to examine productive activities which can be developed  and expanded.

The result of this research shows that: 1) the productive activities of fisherwomen were   found in two  sectors, marine and  fishery sectors   (buy and sell of fresh fish, preserve large fish, make brochettes out of fish, collector of coral reef, and activities of seine repair) and out of marine and fishery sector   (farm worker, buy and sell of hulled rice, and  trade in small shops), 2)  the income of fisherwomen  is Rp 1,484,687.5 /year, or 23.33 % from household income of fisherman,  and 3) according to  economic and ecological  aspects ,   profitable activities of fisherwomen which  could be developed are fish satay, fresh fish trader,  processed large fish,  seine repair activity, hulled rice trade, and  small shop.
