6. PERANAN WANITA DALAM USAHATANI PADI SAWAH DI KECAMATAN NARMADA, LOMBOK BARAT
Roles of Women in Low Land Paddy Farming in Narmada Sub-District, West Lombok
Abstract
ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan: (1) mengetahui pola pembagian kerja wanita dan pria pada usahatani keluarga dalam bentuk curahan waktu kerja; (2) mengetahui besarnya sumbangan pendapatan wanita tani terhadap pendapatan rumah tangga; dan (3) mengetahui peranan wanita tani dalam pengambilan keputusan. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif, sedangkan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik survei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) pola pembagian kerja produktif pada usahatani padi sawah didominasi oleh tenaga kerja pria 60,06%. Jenis kegiatan yang dominan dikerjakan wanita adalah persiapan benih 81,77%, penanaman 72,54%, panen dan prosesing 55,32%; (2) kontribusi wanita terhadap pendapatan rumahtangga sebesar 19,08%; dan (3) pengambilan keputusan untuk kegiatan usahatani dan kegiatan sosial didominasi oleh pria yaitu 51,21% dan 43,81%, sedangkan sisanya terdistribusi pada keputusan wanita (26,06% dan 35,24%), keputusan seimbang antara pria dan wanita (20,96% dan 22,72%). Untuk kegiatan rumahtangga pola pengambilan keputusan terbanyak dilakukan oleh wanita sebesar 36,89%, sedangkan sisanya berupa keputusan pria 24,44% dan keputusan seimbang antara pria dan wanita 38,89%.
ABSTRACT
The aims of this research were to know: (1) the job alocation between male and female in running family farms, (2) the share of female farmers in family income and, (3) the role of female farmers in making decisions. The study used discriptive method, and the data were collected using survey technique. The results show that: the pattern of allocation of productive job in rice farms was dominated by male labor, for 60.06%. The dominant activities of female were seed preparation 81,77%, planting, 72,54%, harvesting and procesing 55,32%. About 19,08% of family income was generated from female activities. In making decision related to farms and social activities, male dominates the role namely 51,21% and 43,81% respectively. The remain is decided by female (26,06% and 35,24 %), both sides together (20,96% and 22,72%). Decicion related to domestic affairs was dominated by female (36,89%), 24,44% by male and 38,89% was by both sides.
